The comfortable Tranquil Resort in Wayanad, Kerala is located in the midst of a coffee and spice plantation. In addition to comfortable and luxurious guest rooms in the main building, you will find two tree houses here . It’s not that high here, because they stand on stilts, but are cleverly built into the tree branches. From above there is an excellent view of the landscape and you will be amazed by the diverse bird life. There are a number of walking paths on the site that invite you to explore the plantation.
The hotel undertakes a number of activities to protect our planet and to improve our carbon footprint. For example, gas is sometimes used for cooking, which comes from our own biogas plant. The hot water boilers are operated with biomass, such as twigs or coconut nut shells. Almost all incandescent lamps are LED lights and the fresh water supply lines do not require pumps.
Vegetables and other foods that do not come from the plantation are bought regionally. Even freshwater fish is kept in its own pond and served fresh. The drinking water is taken from the nearby streams, boiled, treated with UV rays and filtered through ceramics. This ensures drinkability.
The employees of the Tranquil Resort have often worked for the company for many years.
